Arsenal were heavily linked with the 21-year-old but Mikel Arteta decided to persist with his current options in attack, a move that could backfire with the Gunners looking up in the Premier League standings. Manchester United are also said to be interested in Sesko, with Rasmus Hojlund not yet doing enough to prove that he can be their striker of the future.
DID YOU KNOW?
Both clubs will likely be in the mix to sign Sesko again next summer and they have just found out how much the Slovenia international is likely to cost. According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Sesko has a "gentleman's agreement" in his RB Leipzig deal, in lieu of a release clause, that means they will open negotiations with any interested clubs should they receive an offer of between €70-75 million (£58m-62m).
