Even though Manuel Pellegrini has already bought seven new players since becoming West Ham United manager, it seems that he is still looking for a midfielder.
The Hammers could do with a defence-minded player, and some have suggested that Axel Witsel could fit the profile.
The Belgium international currently plies his trade at Chinese club Tianjin Quanjian, and has previously worn the shirts of Zenit St Petersburg, Benfica and Standard Liege.
The 29-year-old, who is rated at £18m by Transfermarkt, has played at the top level, but has zero experience of Premier League football.
According to a recent report in Bild, Witsel has been offered to Premier League clubs, including Manchester United.

After some West Ham fans got wind of this, they discussed whether a move for the Belgian would be a good idea.
Some would be happy with the addition, while others do not believe that Witsel offers enough of what the team needs.
