Loads of Aston Villa fans have been running the rule over Saturday’s momentous win, and they’re full of praise for Anwar El Ghazi.

Dean Smith’s side continued their incredible run of form on Saturday, locking up yet another three points.

Despite it being the Villans’ eighth successive win though, this one felt different, as without star man Jack Grealish and several key defenders they overcame a Bristol City side who are plenty potent enough themselves.

Tammy Abraham opened the scoring from the penalty spot shortly after half time and Famara Diedhiou’s impressive goal wasn’t enough for a comeback after Conor Hourihane had doubled the home side’s lead.

While he didn’t get on the score-sheet, El Ghazi was nothing short of phenomenal, putting in what was surely his best display since signing for the club last summer.

The 23 year-old completed a truly remarkable eight key passes along with one successful dribble and four shots, per Whoscored, and he and Neil Taylor looked absolutely devastating linking up on the left flank.
