Therefore, Hasenhuttl is under pressure. But his job is safe for now, at least if Southampton’s Christmas party is anything to go by. At the end of her speech, board member Katharina Liebherr broke into song, singing the former RB Leipzig boss’ chant that can be heard in the stands on matchdays, as per The Daily Mail.
Many supporters were buoyed by this show of support.
It is fair to say that the 52-year-old cannot be held solely responsible for the team’s struggles. They were in a similar position last season before Mark Hughes was sacked and Hasenhuttl replaced him.

The main consensus appears to be that reinforcements to the defence are needed – the 36 goals shipped already this term appear to back up that point.
There are some fans, though, who do not seem too happy that he will remain in the dugout for now.
Again, this is not something that is unheard of when a team is struggling. After all, he is the head and the face of the team, and therefore the blame is likely to fall at his feet.
